Room to Breathe
For years, our church community has had the honor of hosting an Oxford House for women and their children next to the Jason Lee United Methodist Church in Salem, Oregon. This home has been more than shelter—it has been a place of recovery, stability, and hope.
With the upcoming sale of the property, eight women and their children are now facing a sudden housing transition. While they are actively working to secure new homes, the financial pressure of overlapping rent and deposits creates real risk during a delicate season of recovery.
We are raising $10,000 to cover current rent and assist with first month’s rent as they move into new housing. This support offers something sacred: breathing room—a chance to transition with dignity, safety, and stability rather than fear and urgency.
Mark Oxford House in the memo.
Let’s offer stability, dignity, and breathing room to women and children in recovery during a critical housing transition.
